Who are the Friends of the Library?
The Friends sponsor the Museum Passes, special library programs and other projects through book sales and membership dues. Recently, they purchased a display case for Riverside Library. The Friends are an invaluable support to your community library. Annual dues are just $10 per person. Please consider joining to support your library.

Come see what’s new at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence and at the Riverside branch at 475 Bullocks Point Avenue. You will find a wide range of hard and soft cover fiction and non-fiction titles for $1. Pocket-size paperbacks are 50¢. Children’s and young adult books are also 50¢. Selections can be brought to the Welcome Desk for purchase. All proceeds benefit library programs and activities.

Why the pause?
In the weeks before a book, we prepare thousands of books for display at the sale. We are proud of our reputation for being one of the most organized book sales in the region. We hold our 4-day Spring Book Sale, restock continuously the week-long Books by the Bag Sale, meet with community groups to donate hundreds of requested books, empty all bookshelves and book carts and fill 75 to 100 boxes of remaining books to be redistributed or recycled. Until all Spring Book Sale books are removed from the building, there is no space to store additional books. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
