East Providence town hall once housed the Watchemoket Library prior to the Weaver Memorial Library being built in 1938. This building, built in 1889, was destroyed by a fire in 1976.

East Providence Library Book Trunk
The original trunk of books that started the East Providence Library in Rumford. This was brought house to house before the library had a static location.
Prior to the Bridgham Memorial Library being built in 1905 the library was housed next door in the Old Town Hall building. This building was torn down in the 1960s.
