This week (Oct. 20-26) is National Friends of Libraries Week. In 2024, our Friends group has provided more than $30,000 for library programs and services, and donated hundreds of books to multiple community agencies.
Last year, their members volunteered a total of 1,847 hours to manage our book donations, run their two four-day Book Sales, maintain the Never-Ending Book Sale, volunteer at programs, attend their board meetings, and generally support the library. If you happen to see a member of the Friends this week, please thank them for their dedication to East Providence Public Library.
